How many onsite acccessible parking bays are there?
*
Why do we want to know if onsite accessible parking is available?
Some people with disability have accessible parking permits that allow them to park in an accessible parking bay. Accessible parking bays are usually positioned within close proximity to venues for convenient access and usually provide extra room either side of the parked vehicle to allow for user to conveniently manoeuvre.
What other onsite parking is available?

Please select all applicable options.
If you selected stepped or ramped access in question above, do steps or ramp have tactile ground surface indicators and compliant step edging contrast?
Tactile Ground Surface Indicators
A tactile ground surface indicator (TGSI) is a textured pattern and typically consists of raised bumps or domes installed on walking surfaces. They are installed at key locations, such as the edges of platforms, stairs, ramps and pedestrian crossings. These indicators are designed to provide tactile and visual cues to assist people with vision impairments in navigating outdoor and indoor environments safely and independently.
Compliant Step Edging
Compliant step edging contrast means ensuring that steps are designed and constructed to meet accessibility standards, including providing adequate visual contrast to enhance safety for all users, particularly those with visual impairments
If you selected portable ramp in question above, please advise how people can request this ramp be installed prior to arrival
Why do we want to know details about access at the main entrance?
This level of information is helpful for a wide audience including people living with disability, parents with prams and the ageing population. It will also help some wheelchair users to determine whether your club is suitable and whether they can attend independently or may need support.
If providing a portable ramp, please display signage that clearly indicates availability and how people can request ramp be installed.
Which best describes the main entry door?

Why do we want to know the door clearance of the main entry to the clubhouse?
Mobility equipment comes in various shapes and sizes. This may include a compact wheelchair, a sports wheelchair with a wider footprint, a power wheelchair, a wheelchair with breathing equipment, a larger motorised scooter or a walking frame. This information best informs users of mobility equipment on the suitability of access for individual needs. This information is also very helpful for parents with prams.

What are the furniture options in the clubhouse social area?
Seats with back and armrests
Seats with backrests
Couches
Stools
Tables
Why do we want to know about seating options in this area?
Seats with backrests and armrests are very helpful in providing support in both the seated position and when transferring to a seated/standing position. Ideal for a person who may have weak knees, mobility issues, a child or a person with a physical disability.
Seats without backrests may disrupt posture and require back muscles to work more than normal to support the spine.
Is furniture movable to allow more flexibility for everyone?
Yes
No
What is the height of tables most suitable for a wheelchair user from ground to top of table?
Accessible tables should have 4 sturdy legs. Table legs should not obstruct wheelchair footplates.
Please refer to the measurement instruction guide
What is the knee clearance height from beneath top of table to ground of these tables?
Please refer to the measurement instruction guide
Why do we want measurements of your most suitable tables for a wheelchair user?
This information best informs wheelchair users on the suitability of furniture. This may include users of a compact wheelchair, a sports wheelchair with a wider footprint, a power wheelchair or a wheelchair with breathing equipment.
What shape tables are available?
For example - square, rectangle or round
Why do we want to know the shape of tables? Different shape tables suit varying individual needs. A person who is hard of hearing may prefer a round table. This will provide visual access to everyone's faces to facilitate better communication. There are approximately 3.6 million Australians with hearing loss. The linear shape of a rectangular table may allow additional room to walk around and to manoeuvre mobility equipment.
If a serving counter is available, what is the height of main service counter and/or bar in the clubhouse?
Please refer to measurement instruction guide
If available, what is the height of the lower counter and/or bar?
Please refer to measurement instruction guide

Yes
No
What is the maximum capacity of clubhouse?
What best describes the flooring in the club house?
*
For example - rubber matting, concrete, vinyl, laminate, hardwood carpet, tiled
Why do we want to know about the type of flooring?
This information is helpful for mobility aid users. It will determine ease of movement and access throughout venue. Hard, smooth surfaces are typically easier for people with mobility issues to navigate. Flooring information is also helpful to determine the acoustics of an environment.
In the clubhouse, is there:
An echo
Window blinds/curtains
A separate quiet room or a sensory space for a person to retreat and relax
Why do we want to know more about the environmental acoustics?
Rooms with lots of soft furnishings (e.g. rubber matting, blinds) offer less reverberation (echo) with sound coming only from the people in the room. This environment may be more comfortable for a person with hearing loss, a person who may become overwhelmed by too much stimuli or people who wish to engage in comfortable levels of conversation.
If music is played in clubhouse, please provide some details
For example - radio, background music, upbeat music
If requested, is the club happy to turn the music volume down?

Visitors, Spectators and Players - Changing Places and Fully Accessible Bathroom
The next few questions are designed to gather information on fully accessible bathrooms that include a hoist and an adult change table.

Think accessibility - roll on, gradients, camber.
Think size.
Think indoor or outdoor.
Think multi-purpose areas that accommodate different types of programming.
Practice areas
Why do we want to know about the type of playing areas?
Accessible information about sport playing fields allows individuals to assess whether the facilities accommodate their needs including mobility aids, such as wheelchairs or walkers.
It also helps to determine ease of movement: Detailed information about the playing surface, including its texture, helps individuals determine how easily they can navigate the area. Smooth, level surfaces are generally more accessible and safer for individuals with mobility impairments. Some individuals with mobility impairments may need to avoid playing fields with loose gravel, uneven terrain, or steep slopes that could pose challenges or increase the risk of falls.
Acoustics are important to consider. Individuals with hearing impairments may rely on environmental cues and acoustics to navigate their surroundings effectively. Information about the acoustics of a sport playing field, such as whether it is open-air or enclosed, can help individuals with hearing disabilities determine how sound travels within the environment and whether assistive listening devices may be needed.
If sporting areas have sports/flood lighting, please provide further information
If club has any public open spaces, provide details
For example, walking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas, benches, gardens, barbeques.
