Mill Park Leisure Centre features three pools including a leisure pool with children’s water play equipment, a pool for swimming lessons and a warm water program pool with ramp access. The 25-metre pool also includes an all-abilities ramp and there is also a large spa and sauna.

The centre also features a café, retail area and reception, a crèche, a landscaped outdoor space with play equipment, barbecues and outdoor exercise equipment, weight training and cardio areas and large group fitness rooms.

Excellent accessibility is available throughout the entire facility including two pool pods, a state-of-the-art hoist, two Changing Places accessible facilities as well as family, group and school change facilities.

The Access Key available for Mill Park Leisure Centre is for a general visit or a group visit.

There are two Social Stories for Mill Park Leisure Centre. One is for a general swim visit and the other for a swimming lesson.

The Social Stories both describe social situations and aim to help prepare individuals for interaction by providing clear information about specific situations, outlining why they happen and what a typical response might be.

They are suited for individuals who may live with autism spectrum disorder, a specific language disorders, social communication difficulties or cognitive delays and disability. They are also aimed to support educators, carers and parents.

The Access Key and Social Stories are offered in full colour including contextualised photographs as well as being offered in a large print text only format.  The text only resources have been formatted for people with low vision or who are blind and use assistive technology to access documentation.
