Today we showcase the work of the Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre.

During COVID -19 crisis – the services of the Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre continue to operate.

An online study support for students attending primary school, high school, early tertiary education and their families is offered to more effectively transition to, and sustain home based learning with support from highly experienced volunteer tutors, in addition to a youth worker and social worker as extraneous support.

These services support humanitarian entrants and other migrants on eligible visas during their first 5 years of settlement in Australia with education and assistance with study skills, time management and links to local community services

This is a Settlement program which aim to increase capacity, connection and participation in the community funded through Department of Social Services through the Settlement Services Program.
