Is your child prepared for the return back to school?

Victorian Government announced state schools will reopen on 26th May, 2020 with a staggered approach.

We are happy to support your family with a Social Story to help prepare for this transition.

The story can be customised with personal images or photos that are relevant to the child or children you will read it with. Simply add your personal touches and customise it to make it your very own.

Enjoy reading it with your child or children as often as required to help them confidently prepare for this transition.

It also gives us pleasure to share the work of the AllPlay Learn Programs.

Head over to the AllPlay Learn website to access a range of stories that help children learn about school so they know what to expect and can learn helpful ways to respond to new situations. Each story comes with audio so that children who are blind and low vision, or find reading challenging, can still access these stories.

There is also a section to support teenagers with disabilities and developmental challenges in secondary schools. AllPlay Learn Parents’ section offers a range of resources and information. Resources include a guide to inclusion and resources and information specific to a range of situations teenagers experience at secondary school.

Deakin University works in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Training to present the AllPlay Learn program.
